Privacy Policy

Quelane is run by the Quelane team. This policy says what data the Quelane app and its server keep, why, and what you can do about it.
Data we keep
- Account: your email address, your password (stored only as a hash), an optional name and your time zone.
- Your content: the tasks, subtasks, comments, labels, projects, cycles, project updates and habits you create, with their history.
- Settings: your notification, cycle and privacy choices.
- Sharing: when you invite someone to a project, we keep their email address until they join or the invite is removed.
- Server logs: the server records requests (time, address, path and result) to keep the service running and secure.
Why we keep it
We use this data only to run the app: to sign you in, to sync your content between your devices, to show shared projects to their members, and to send account emails such as verification and password reset codes.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or show ads.
- The app has no analytics or crash reporting tools.
- We do not read your content, except when you ask for support or the law requires it.
Who else sees it
- Project members see the projects you share with them, including their tasks and comments. Your personal tasks and habits stay private.
- Our email provider receives your email address and the message text to deliver account emails.
- Our hosting provider runs the server that stores the data.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your account and your content. Tasks you made in other people's projects pass to that project's owner, so their project stays complete.
Your choices
- Edit your name and settings in the app under Profile.
- Delete your account in the app under Profile, Privacy, Delete account.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion by email: webmaster@localhost.
Security
The app talks to the server over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, and the sign-in token is kept in the device's secure storage.
Children
Quelane is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep data about them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date above. For larger changes, we tell you in the app or by email.
